Based in the Western Cape, Cape Rain has been a successfully run business for more than 15 years. Our success is due to our policy to provide the best service and quality to our clients.

Founded in 1995 as an irrigation design and contracting firm, we are primarily involved in the design and installation of irrigation reticulation systems for the industrial, commercial and sports landscape markets.

Our unwavering commitment to the design and installation of world class irrigation systems has led to favourable recognition and wide acclaim, both locally and abroad.

The company’s commitment to supplying practical, innovative irrigation solutions, along with the support of well-trained staff members, has given us the ability to tackle any landscape or turf irrigation system. We work hand-in-hand with the entire green industry to help protect the environment and its resources.

At Cape Rain, we strive to be the best. That’s why we regularly train our staff, empowering them with knowledge on the latest technological advances. We offer a 12-month guarantee on all our materials and workmanship. The ever-increasing demand for a formal training ground for the irrigation profession in Southern Africa, coupled with the need to regulate the quality of design and workmanship, led to our involvement in the formation of the Landscape Irrigation Association of South Africa’s (LIASA) Western Cape Division in 1998.

In 2003, the company restructured. After having been run by three directors in the past, Jacques Marais took over as the sole proprietor. He served on the LIASA executive committee for a number of years, as well as the original LIASA standards committee, which led to our participation in the formulation of the industry’s first local bill of standards.
