Our extensive design expertise and in-house CAD facilities, coupled with the ability to supply accurate reproducible drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, projected ET-based annual water consumption reports and controller schedules, provide the client with all of the necessary information to make an informed decision based on the prospective contractor’s installation experience and tender price.

Receiving wide acclaim in this field, a leading landscape architectural company appointed Cape Rain in 1998 to design the first ever completely centrally controlled landscape irrigation system with a weather station in the Western Cape (only the second of its kind in South Africa).

With the entry of independent irrigation designers and irrigation consultants in the industry, our focus shifted more towards the contracting division, enabling us to assign the design division to more in-house projects.

At Cape Rain we have dynamic and efficient irrigation contracting teams that strive for perfection in all our endeavours.

Our innovative installation techniques, superior product knowledge, absolute attention to detail and commitment to after sales service have seen the division gain respect and ongoing support of South African as well as international clients.

Our teams consist of highly skilled people. Each team’s members have a minimum of 20 years’ combined experience.

All the sites are managed by LIASA certified contract managers, and are directed by a trained site supervisor, who in turn utilises our skilled work force to consistently produce installations to the highest standards.

Cape Rain has a highly trained maintenance division dedicated to the upkeep of existing irrigation systems.

These teams excel at fault finding and repairs, which are two of the most important portions of a well-run irrigation system and a long-lived, award-winning landscaped area.

This service is offered monthly on an annual basis, and consists of a full service of all irrigation valves (solenoid valves), sprinkler systems (pop-up sprinklers), irrigation controllers, piping, etc. We are currently responsible for the maintenance of numerous prestigious projects.
